Dai Young slams London Wasps display

Dai Young, the Director of Rugby of the Aviva Premiership Rugby Football Union club the London Wasps has slammed the performance of his players in their most recent defeat at the hands of Bath Rugby in the Premiership over the weekend as unacceptable, adding that playing for a club of the magnitude of the London giants requires a lot more effort and a different attitude and mentality altogether and he didn’t see any of that in the match against Bath.

The Wasps went down 25-8 to Bath Rugby at home in the Aviva Premiership on Sunday and according to Young, that kind of performance from his players at this elite level of competition and that too, for a side like the Wasps is absolutely unacceptable.

The hosts were comfortably made short work of by Bath Rugby at Adams Park as Bath registered their seventh straight victory in all competitions this season and at the same time, compounded the London Wasps to their fifth defeat already in this early part of the season.

Speaking to a major media outlet in England, Young stated that Bath Rugby didn’t even have to fight for the win and that is what makes it more disappointing adding that for a team coming to their home and having such an easy run is simply not good enough.

He went on to state that it really was an unacceptable performance from his players and they lacked depth and quality in anything and everything they did during the match.

Dai Young, who is known for his inclinations for pressing rugby, stated that the London Wasps were really flat during the match and the players absolutely didn’t show any kind of enthusiasm or effort throughout the match and never even managed to stretch their opponents even once during the match.
